Mathematician (Remote)

Remote contract role for a client in the Technology, Information and Internet industry.

About the role

Apply advanced mathematical principles to solve complex problems and optimize algorithms. Develop models and analyze data to support decision-making in a technical domain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mathematical models for algorithmic solutions in data analysis.
• Apply statistical and computational techniques to interpret and solve business problems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate mathematical frameworks into production systems.
• Validate model accuracy and performance through rigorous testing and validation.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and results for stakeholder review.

Requirements

• Expertise in applied mathematics, including linear algebra, calculus, and probability theory.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for mathematical modeling.
• Experience with statistical analysis, machine learning, or optimization techniques.
• Ability to translate abstract mathematical concepts into practical solutions.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Pay

$20 – $40/hour
