Math Tutor/Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach mathematical concepts to students.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Aid students with math homework.
• Encourage, motivate, and engage with students during the instructional session.
• Grade and correct student assignments to provide feedback to students.
• Provide positive, constructive feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, and build confidence in them.
• Manage students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
• Manage students’ time while they are at the center.
• Actively encourage, motivate, and engage with students during the instructional session.
• Provide exceptional customer service by building relationships with students and families.

Requirements

• Math proficiency up to Pre-Calculus is required.
• Ability to pass a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to adapt to a versatile environment and handle multiple concurrent assignments.
• Communicate clearly and concisely to convey information effectively to team members and management.
• Reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling assigned duties and obligations.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pass a background check.
