About the role

Join one of New York's premier private education companies as a part-time Math Tutor / Academic Coach. This position is approximately 10-15 hours a week, with hours depending on the nature of requests. You'll work one-on-one with students in their homes, providing personalized instruction while building meaningful relationships with students and families.

Our Academic Coaches and Study Skills Coaches are trusted advisors who inspire confidence, accountability, and academic excellence. We are seeking educators who can teach multiple math subjects, including:

  • Basic Elementary math
  • Algebra I
  • Geometry
  • Algebra II
  • Trigonometry
  • Pre-Calculus
  • Calculus AB/BC
  • Calculus 3

Location: In-person, Brooklyn and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one personalized instruction in students' homes.
  • Build meaningful relationships with students and families.
  • Inspire confidence, accountability, and academic excellence.

Requirements

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree (Master's or advanced degree preferred).
  • Prior teaching, tutoring, or academic coaching experience.
  • Experience working with students attending New York independent or private schools (strongly preferred).
  • Comfortable working with high-net-worth and high-expectation families.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, warmth, discretion, and excellent communication.
  • Available weekday afternoons/evenings and one weekend day (Sunday preferred).
  • Can commit to approximately 10–15 hours per week (students often need 2-3 days per week).
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Brooklyn-based educators only.

Pay

Compensation is competitive and based on experience — advanced degrees and specialized experience land at the top of the range.
