Job Summary
The Independent Study Math Teacher provides standards-aligned instruction and academic support to students enrolled in a home-based independent study program. In this dual role, the teacher delivers direct instruction in mathematics and serves as an educational facilitator, collaborating with parents/guardians who have elected to educate their children at home. The teacher monitors academic progress, supports instructional planning, and ensures compliance with state and program requirements related to independent study.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Licenses and Certifications: California Teaching Credential authorizing performance of service in Mathematics instruction, California driver’s license and evidence of insurability
Credential Copy (Single Subject in Mathematics), Transcript, Letter of Introduction, Resume
Desirable Qualifications
Experience teaching special education students
Experience teaching in both a classroom and a non-classroom-based setting
Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish
