Overview
Queens Mesivta is seeking a High School Math Teacher to instruct Algebra I, Algebra II, or Geometry. Responsibilities include planning lessons, managing classroom behavior, and providing feedback.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Teach Regents Exam preparation and both regular and honors-level classes.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and tests.
- Monitor students' use of learning materials and equipment.
- Manage student behavior and maintain discipline.
- Provide feedback on work and track student progress.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree from an accredited college or university, with a Master's degree or NY State teaching certification preferred.
- Professional experience in high school math instruction preferred.
- Ability to inspire and challenge students in both regular and honors-level classes.
- Commitment to fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.
