Math Instructors (Part-Time)
About the role
Capital University invites applications for part-time math instructors to teach introductory math courses offered by the Mathematics, Computer Sciences, and Physics Department beginning August 17, 2026. For Fall 2026, the department is looking for an instructor to teach College Algebra and an instructor to teach Quantitative Reasoning.
Responsibilities
- Teach College Algebra and Quantitative Reasoning courses
- May have opportunities to teach additional courses based on departmental staffing needs
Requirements
- Graduate degree or equivalent in mathematics or related subject
- College level teaching experience preferred
Qualifications
- Strong background in mathematics
- Ability to teach introductory level courses
Skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
