About the role

The Part-Time Instructor will teach engaging curriculum using company-created materials designed for advanced students to lead small classes in math. The role involves actively involving students in each class or student-led learning, managing up to 16 students, providing feedback on tests and assignments, building relationships with students and families, and inspiring a love for learning and critical thinking in math.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related or educational field is strongly preferred
  • Strong content knowledge in math
  • Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred

Qualifications

  • No formal teaching credential is required for this position

Skills

  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage a classroom of up to 16 students
  • Strong subject matter expertise in math

Pay

Pay rate: $35.00 – $35.25/hour

Schedule

  • Academic Year: Available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends
  • Campus Location: In-person position at our Portland location
