About the Role

The Math District Resource Teacher for Elementary Levels is a full-time, benefited position. The K-5 Mathematics District Resource Teacher supports effective math instruction by writing, reviewing, and aligning curriculum with state standards, ensuring coherence and rigor across grade levels. They support coaching cycles with school-based math coaches, provide professional learning, and analyze student data to inform instruction. Additionally, they collaborate with district teams to support assessment, instructional materials adoption, and ensure equitable access to high-quality math education for all learners.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and align curriculum with state standards to ensure coherence and rigor across grade levels.
• Support coaching cycles with school-based math coaches.
• Provide professional learning opportunities for educators.
• Analyze student data to inform instruction and guide interventions.
• Collaborate with district teams on assessment and instructional materials adoption.
• Ensure equitable access to high-quality math education for all learners.

Qualifications

• Strong content knowledge and instructional expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
• Demonstrated experience in Curriculum Development for elementary math programs.
• Proficiency in Lesson Planning that aligns with state standards and district expectations.
• Appropriate state certification in elementary education or mathematics.
• Experience supporting or coaching educators in a school or district-level role is preferred.
• Ability to analyze assessment data and use it to guide instructional decisions.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills for working with diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with graduate credits in specialized educational related areas; advanced degree preferred.
