Responsibilities

• Teach quadratic functions and equations, similarity and right triangle trigonometry, circles and their properties, probability, polynomial operations, and geometric proof.
• Explain concepts such as completing the square, trigonometric ratios, circle theorems, and conditional probability to prepare students for advanced integrated mathematics and standardized assessments.
• Break down quadratic solving methods, similarity reasoning, and probability calculations.
• Guide students through factoring, using the quadratic formula, applying the Pythagorean theorem and trigonometric ratios, and computing probabilities using two-way tables and Venn diagrams.
• Emphasize connections between algebra and geometry, and apply concepts to real-world contexts like engineering, architecture, and data science.
• Adapt instruction using dynamic geometry software, visual models for probability, and scaffolded practice to support students building on Integrated Math 1 foundations.
• Identify common student struggles and explain material using multiple approaches tailored to individual learning needs and styles.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of Integrated Math 2 topics, including quadratic functions, similarity, trigonometry, circles, probability, and geometric proof.
• Familiarity with Integrated Math 2 curricula and Common Core standards.
• Ability to address common challenges such as distinguishing quadratic solution methods, proving geometric similarity, and computing conditional probabilities.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
