About the role

This full-time, on-site role based in Philadelphia, PA performs high-quality obstetric and maternal-fetal ultrasound examinations, including first, second, and third trimester scans, detailed fetal anatomy studies, and targeted evaluations for high-risk pregnancies. The sonographer collaborates closely with maternal-fetal medicine physicians, nurses, and other care team members to review findings, support diagnostic decisions, and ensure timely communication of results.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and related technology.
• Perform obstetric and maternal-fetal ultrasound examinations, including first, second, and third trimester scans, detailed fetal anatomy studies, and targeted evaluations for high-risk pregnancies.
• Document and archive images, maintaining accurate and complete exam records in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Assist with patient education and support a respectful, patient-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• Clinical background in Medicine with knowledge of maternal-fetal and obstetric care.
• Current credentialing or eligibility with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology and/or Maternal Fetal specialty.
• Experience in Radiology and diagnostic imaging, including operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.
• Relevant state licensure or registration, if required, and current BLS certification.
