Materials Sorting & Classifying Leader NL-06.

Duties

• Works under the supervision of the Materials Sorting Supervisor.
• Follows established procedures in receiving, checking, verifying, sorting, and classifying materials and equipment by condition.
• Collects, receives, identifies, sorts, moves material to the baler machine, and operates the baler ensuring the material is correct for the process.
• Operates gas or diesel-powered forklift trucks capable of lifting up to 6,000 pounds and positioning loads as high as 168 inches.
• Operates forklift to load truck trailers using inclined ramps.
• Collects recycle material from the community and from operating units on post.
• Performs other duties as assigned

  Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • May be required to lift moderate to heavy items regularly weighing up to 75 pounds while performing assigned duties.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include physical examination.
  • May be required to obtain a commercial driver’s license.
