Materials scheduler

About the role

The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating production schedules across multiple manufacturing areas to support customer demand and operational objectives. This role requires close collaboration with Manufacturing, Materials, Purchasing, Quality, and Master Scheduling to ensure efficient production flow, schedule adherence, and timely resolution of material constraints. The Production Scheduler manages production orders throughout the manufacturing process, including releasing, sequencing, prioritizing, and updating orders within SAP. This position also supports continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production performance, identifying scheduling risks, and driving actions that improve delivery performance, inventory management, and manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to support customer delivery requirements and organizational goals.
• Manage production orders from release through completion, including prioritization, sequencing, and schedule adjustments.
• Monitor daily production activity and resolve scheduling conflicts impacting delivery, capacity, or material availability.
• Coordinate production schedule changes with Materials, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Master Scheduling teams.
• Analyze material shortages, communicate impacts, and coordinate recovery actions to minimize disruption to production schedules.
• Work closely
