Materials Planning Manager

This role is a Contract to Hire position based in Chatsworth, CA.

About the role

The Manager of Materials & Planning oversees materials planning, purchasing, inventory control, production scheduling, and supplier coordination to ensure manufacturing operations run efficiently. This role supports on-time production and customer delivery by managing material availability, ERP/MRP accuracy, outsourced manufacturing partners, and cross-functional communication between Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee materials planning and purchasing to ensure material availability for production.
• Maintain ERP/MRP accuracy for effective inventory and production control.
• Coordinate with outsourced manufacturing partners to align production schedules.
• Manage cross-functional communication between Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams.
• Support on-time customer delivery through effective production scheduling and inventory management.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain, purchasing, inventory, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience in electronics or component-based manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and outsourced manufacturing coordination.
• Experience with Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and ERP/MRP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $72.00 per hour.
