Materials Movement Coordinator

Key Essential Functions/Duties

• Create and release transfer orders for interplant shipments.
• Communicate transfer order requirements and schedules to sending plants.
• Confirm and reconcile shipments to ensure accuracy and receipt of materials.
• Serve as a cross-trained backup for the Inventory Coordinator role, rotating weekly responsibilities to maintain functional coverage.
• Support daily inventory control activities, including pallet reconciliations, inventory reconciliation with Customer systems, consumable material counts, and participation in floor counts and cycle counts.

Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in inventory management or related role.
• Proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, food manufacturing, and logistics preferred.
• Familiarity with lean inventory practices and cycle counting preferred.
