Materials Manager

About the role

Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, is seeking a Materials Manager to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX. Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, this role oversees and coordinates activities related to material planning, distribution, inventory control, material research, purchasing, and supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Cook up and direct the planning activities across the site.
• Manage, control, and direct the distribution of inventory to the production line.
• Direct efforts to minimize excess and obsolete inventory, aiming for materials profit and loss goals.
• Affirm the timely delivery of materials at the most economical cost, while maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through negotiation of customer expectations and managing staff activities.
• Coordinate with customers, purchasing, project managers, operations managers, and warehouse managers.
• Oversee accurate inventory cycle counts and controls.
• Handle and document the shipping of finished goods.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems.
• Review, plan, and approve purchase orders and change notices.
• Assess and manage purchase order claims and contracts for compliance with company policy.
• Dispose of excess and obsolete materials.
• Travel as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience and training, along with at least 8 years of material and manufacturing experience, including supervision.

Qualifications
