Materials Management Workleader

As a Materials Management Workleader, you are integral to helping facilitate Cleveland Clinic’s mission of providing state-of-the-art healthcare. You will serve as the work leader while performing various duties to support the department and coordinate resources for daily assignments and work schedules.
Schedule
This position works from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, including every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate work schedules to provide coverage for employee paid time off and key activities.
- Oversee departmental workflow and desk coverage for an assigned area.
- Supervise the department functioning and resources in the absence of the manager.
- Manage inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels of products.
- Meet inventory goals by managing tracking systems and acting as liaison to other departments.
- Analyze data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
- Monitor all areas to ensure product is being rotated first-in, first-out and expiring product is removed in a timely manner.
- Count and verify products in inventory and report discrepancies to upper management as necessary.
- Administer return shipments of products in case of any shortages and damages and communicate same to vendor.
- Participate on project teams to build competency, provide training, recommend improved processes, and maintain documented processes and procedures.
- Assist the Site Manager/Supervisor with dashboard maintenance and compliance.
- Function as a super user with regard to all SCM systems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in materials management, inventory operations, or similar role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous leadership or experience providing work direction.
- Strong computer skills and experience with inventory tracking systems.
Physical Requirements
- A high degree of dexterity and normal or corrected vision.
- Extensive sitting and frequent walking.
- Occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay
The pay range for new hires is $18.88 to $28.80 per hour. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined based on work history, experience, skill set, and education. This range does not include applicable pay practices such as shift differentials or overtime, nor does it include the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement savings account contributions).
