About the role
The Materials Management Associate role is available at our printing plant in Eagan, Minnesota. The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Drive a powered industrial vehicle (PIV) to safely move products, equipment, or materials.
- Unload trucks and boxcars, performing goods receipts, cycle counting, and order delivery.
- Utilize ERP (e.g., SAP, MII) and/or radio frequency (RF) equipment to track material/product movements.
- Pick, sort, or pack items in appropriate packaging, ensuring they arrive in good condition.
- Monitor, stock, and transport materials or finished goods to designated areas or storage locations.
- Research and process returns, documenting information in ERP and deciding if products should be returned to stock based on quality.
- Provide data to internal departments as needed.
- Accurately document activities on Tier Boards.
- Operate 2-way radio for communication.
- Perform daily maintenance and change batteries as needed.
- Participate in the company safety program to ensure compliance and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Meet or exceed established quality and productivity standards using standard work procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
- Participate in project teams as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse environments.
- Experience with enterprise resource systems (e.g., SAP) is preferred.
- Previous lift truck experience is preferred.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Able to work overtime and adjust schedules as needed.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Able to communicate via 2-way radios.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in reading and interpreting documents related to safety rules, equipment displays, operating instructions, and production orders.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to work overtime and adjust schedules as needed.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Able to communicate via 2-way radios.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment.
