About the role

The Materials Management Associate role at our printing plant in Eagan, Minnesota offers:

  • Drive a powered industrial vehicle (PIV) to safely move products.
  • Unload trucks and boxcars, performing goods receipts, cycle counting, and order delivery.
  • Utilize ERP systems and/or radio frequency (RF) equipment for material/product movement activities.
  • Pick, sort, or pack items in appropriate packaging, ensuring quality conditions.
  • Monitor, stock, and transport materials or finished goods to designated areas.
  • Research and process returns, accurately recording information in ERP and determining product return eligibility.
  • Provide data to internal departments as requested.
  • Accurately document activities on Tier Boards.
  • Operate 2-way radio for communication.
  • Perform daily maintenance and change batteries if needed.
  • Participate in safety programs and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Meet or exceed established quality and productivity standards using standard work procedures.
  • Maintain work area and equipment through housekeeping procedures.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Participate in project teams as needed.

Responsibilities

As a Materials Management Associate, you will:

  • Unload trucks and boxcars, performing goods receipts, cycle counting, and order delivery.
  • Utilize ERP systems and/or RF equipment for material/product movement activities.
  • Pick, sort, or pack items in appropriate packaging, ensuring quality conditions.
  • Monitor, stock, and transport materials or finished goods to designated areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse environments.
  • Experience with enterprise resource systems (e.g., SAP) is preferred.
  • Previous lift truck experience is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in basic math and computer skills.
  • Able to work overtime and flex schedule as required to meet customer demand.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to send and receive oral communications via 2-way radios.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Skills

  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, equipment displays, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders.
  • Able to be certified and operate power material handling equipment.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Able to work overtime and flex schedule as required to meet customer demand.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to send and receive oral communications via 2-way radios.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently or in a team environment.
