Materials Handler IV (Inventory)

About the Role

This position works in the Inventory area within Materials Management, focusing on receiving, sorting, stocking incoming product, shipping bulk products to internal and external customers, and processing Dangerous Goods (DG) and Export (EEI) shipments.

Responsibilities

• Read, comprehend, and adhere to written work instructions, SOPs, and other documentation.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Pick and put away materials to company standards and perform cycle counting as required.
• Use the inventory system to adjust/update inventory quantities and locations.
• Operate an R/F scanner to verify materials/products received match respective packing lists and purchase orders (REC).
• Perform Purchase Order Receipts, associated material transfers, and put-aways (REC).
• Compare purchase orders with invoices and package lists (REC).
• Enter transactions into the business system, identify materials, and stage them in designated areas (REC/DG).
• Prepare intercompany product shipments, process them in the business system, and schedule with carriers for routing (REC/DG).
• Prepare and process miscellaneous shipments as requested by various departments (REC/DG).
• Monitor and respond to email requests (REC/DG).
• Pick, pack, consolidate, ship, and prepare all export documents for inter-company shipments (DG).
• Use online carrier websites to process export and DG shipments (DG).
• Use the ACE website for filing Electronic Export Information (EEI) for required tariff values (DG).
• Prepare and ship Dangerous Goods (Hazmat) shipments according to carrier guidelines and transportation regulations (DG).

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic computer and scanner experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Demands

• Able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Able to lift 25 pounds independently and 50+ pounds with a team lift (e.g., sitting, standing, lifting, bending, reaching).

Pay

Depending on work location, the target hourly rate for this position ranges from $21.00 to $25.50. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
