Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to receive, discharge, process and assemble orders to be issued or shipped.
- Knowledge of safe handling practices and storage of hazardous materials.
- Knowledge and ability to perform safe lifting techniques with repetitive motion.
- Able to organize medical products and equipment files using Purchase Order / Invoice system.
- Receives all materials delivered to the facility by various vendors.
- Properly disburses all materials to various locations in the warehouse and facility.
- Makes corrections, deletions and adjustments to quantities of materials stocked in relation to the PAR level replenishment systems throughout the facility.
- Verifies receipt of goods to packing slips to assure accuracy.
- Maintains all areas of storage in a neat and organized manner.
- Forwards information pertaining to critical back-order situations to the Materials Manager.
- Assists in the weekly purchase of goods.
- Able to operate all equipment utilized in transporting materials.
- Performs any duties as assigned by the Materials Manager.
- Pre-codes and submits orders for inventory in an expeditious manner.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the overall function of the Materials Management Department.
- Requires minimal supervision in performance of job duties.
- Completes duties in a time efficient manner.
- Understands how to prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of duties.
- Provides assistance to other departments, when available.
- Examine the stock and compare contents to specifications on the invoice, purchase requisition, or purchase order upon receipt of merchandise.

- Promotes professional growth of subordinates by sharing knowledge and/or directing them to sources if information appropriate to given situation. Utilizes journals, books, etc. to learn and/or improve new techniques and equipment.
- Assists other staff members in performing any duty that enhances the delivery of patient care.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires repetitive motions, standing, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items weighing over 100 pounds.
