Materials Handler

About the role

Supply Chain Materials Handlers manage supply chain activities in the assigned area under the direction of supply chain management. They perform procurement activities for assigned procedural areas in a cost-effective manner using current inventory management processes and procedures. Materials Handlers communicate product concerns to supply chain management and seek input or approval from the Clinical Resource Directors (CRD) for all newly requested items prior to placing an order.

Responsibilities

• Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, initiatives, and training.
• Conducts supply chain activities for assigned areas.
• Responsible for the research, mitigation, and resolution of customer concerns and escalates when needed.
• Performs delegated tasks and special projects as assigned.
• Acts as a subject-matter expert in assigned areas.
• Attends daily meetings and huddles.
• Has working knowledge of all the equipment used in the supply chain department.
• Responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, medical errors, device malfunction, and facility damage (e.g., walls, ceiling tiles).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of supply chain procedural area experience preferred.
• Supply Chain experience preferred.

Schedule

• Evening shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
• Weekend and holiday rotation required.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $18.21 per hour. The compensation offered to the selected candidate will depend on several factors, including educational background, skills, and professional experience.
