About the role
Experienced thin-film materials and process engineer responsible for sputtering and evaporation designs and processes that produce optical thin-film–based products. Acts as primary technical contact to internal Program Managers for multiple projects and may mentor entry-level engineers and manufacturing technicians.
Responsibilities
- Develop and run technical development and production of advanced thin-film–based technology solutions
- Use thin-film design tools such as TFCalc, OptiLayer, FilmStar, or FilmWizard
- Operate advanced analytical and metrology tools
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues at all organizational levels
- Drive disciplined, fact-based, data-driven decisions with urgency
Requirements
- 10–15 years’ experience in advanced thin-film coatings
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related field
- Strong collaborative team member who thrives in a dynamic technology environment
- Previous leadership experience is a plus
