About the role
The role involves the internal or external production of materials for Nike products. Key responsibilities include managing the materials creation process, creating and revising documentation, tracking and facilitating sampling and prototyping, addressing manufacturing challenges, and collaborating with Manufacturing to drive pricing.
Responsibilities
- Manages the materials creation process from initial concept through to commercialization and production
- Led to on time delivery and development according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability, performance and profitability goals
- Creates and revises appropriate documentation for assigned materials
- Tracks and facilitates sampling and prototyping for materials
- Identifies and addresses key issues and challenges in manufacturing and plans accordingly to deliver proven and tested materials
- Maintains all appropriate development documentation including product specs and prototypes
- Makes sure to communicate challenges throughout the testing process to meet materials integrity requirements
- Serves as a technical advisor on materials to Product Developers
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 2-4 years directly relevant work experience
Qualifications
- One of the following alternatives may be accepted:
- PhD or Law + 1 year
- Masters + 0-3 years
- Associates degree + 1-3 years
- High School + 3-5 years
