About the role

Your Tasks receives incoming shipments from MAPAL companies and other vendors and verifies contents for correctness. You will be the key contact to process any corrections needed and ensure communication to appropriate departments and customers is completed. You will lead and complete paperwork to domestic locations based on material availability and coordinate invoicing between Shipping and Customer Service.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure completion of export customs documentation for international shipments and coordinate with Germany’s import/export department to ensure proper record of shipment values.
  • Administer and complete tracking of all international shipments (raw, finished, etc.) in transit.
  • Develop, recommend, and administer process improvements and program activities to maximize import/export of all materials and products.
  • Resolve obsolete material reservations and material errors; perform material transfers and adjustments as needed; ensure materials have a current storage location while customer material is strictly separated.
  • Count and/or verify inventory for critical/small items that carry frequent discrepancies.
  • Ensure materials are issued properly to production orders; allocate incoming raw material to production orders.
  • Advise on incorrect quantity scans and identify processes that affect inventory/materials and require improvement.
  • Ensure all issued and received materials are traceable through SAP and no materials leave the stock area without being registered in SAP.
  • Advise Purchasing on needed shipping materials in collaboration with Shipping, adhering to all purchasing regulations stipulated by MAPAL.

Qualifications

  • Education, experience, military, or training equivalent to a 2-year degree program in a business-oriented field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in logistics, import/export activities, materials management, and/or shipping and receiving functions.
