Materials Coordinator
Pay
Pay Range: $19.20 - $26.40
Responsibilities
- Accurately receive incoming materials by verifying catalog numbers, lot numbers and quantities against the packing list, purchase order and / or return authorization form per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Unpack and sort, check, count and verify incoming materials before entering into the database.
- Record shortages, reject damaged items and advise appropriate personnel.
- Route received products to specified departments or quarantine.
- Prepare Incoming Materials Specifications (IMS) for received goods and other routine administrative paperwork.
- Cook up with Quality Assurance and Purchasing to ensure component availability.
- Accurately ship outgoing materials by verifying catalog numbers, lot numbers and quantities against the packing list, per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Pack and sort, check, count and verify outgoing materials before final shipment.
- Record shortages, damaged items and advise appropriate personnel.
- Packs items to ensure safe delivery.
- Prepares packing slips; checks products to be shipped against work orders to ascertain quantities, destination and routing are correct.
- Communicates with other departments regarding the status of outgoing materials.
- Prepares routine paperwork including maintaining department database, prepare shipping reports and filing of shipping records.
- Tracks lost shipments.
- Attends daily production meeting.
- Maintains component status of Receiving Inspection (RI) Bin.
- Affords Shop Order (SO) issues and returns.
- Maintain organization in receiving area, refrigerators, freezers and warehouse floor.
- Affords assistance with cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Scrap goods via disposition as required.
- Communicates with other departments regarding the status of materials.
- Maintains Forklift, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and DOT HazMatTransportation & Security Awareness Certifications.
- Perform other tasks and duties as directed by management and supervisory personnel.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 2-4 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred.
