Responsibilities
- Maintains inventory levels and warehouse PAR locations.
- Replenishes the hospital warehouse by inventorying daily and ensuring proper storage of goods.
- Maintains rotation of products and removes/expands expired items as needed.
- Performs annual physical inventory and cycle counting as required.
- Reconciles actual stock counts with computer-generated reports.
- Processes purchase orders using various methods (phone, email, online ordering, fax).
- Purchases products under contracts, reduces inventory, and standardizes products across the organization.
- Facilitates ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing hospital goods.
- Maintains external department’s PAR level locations and performs daily replenishment based on predetermined levels.
- Processes recall notifications and assists in implementing the ERP system.
- Utilizes and maintains the ERP system (Oracle and Multiview), including bar code scanning.
- Collaborates with vendors and vendor representatives to ensure purchases are made at the best price, using hospital pricing contracts.
- Expedites back orders and determines product substitutions.
- Solves issues related to inventory goods and processes outbound shipments as needed.
- Maintains patient charging stickers for defined items and ensures storeroom areas comply with storage requirements.
- Performs routine clerical duties such as data entry, answering phones, and assisting customers.
- Adheres to regulatory agency guidelines and established guidelines.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma required.
- At least 3 years of experience in Inventory Management, Warehouse, Purchasing, or Materials.
- Proficient in computers, including Materials Management systems, Microsoft Office products, and ability to learn new systems.
- Capable of learning all aspects of Purchasing and Storeroom.
- Able to work in a team environment and provide high-level customer service professionally.
- Flexible regarding working hours when providing coverage to other positions or training.
