MATERIALS ASSOCIATE II

Responsibilities

• Counts and replenishes par level supply carts using the handheld computers and the MMIS.
• Enters stock issues and direct patient charges into the MMIS.
• Provides stock labeling assistance as directed.
• Restocks the operating rooms and delivers case supplies to the O/R.
• Reconciles patient charges and issues using the MMIS.
• Aids in the cycle count and physical inventory processes as directed.
• Performs equipment-tracking functions using equipment management software.
• Counts and replenishes stock on code carts and isolation carts.
• Trains and educates peer staff on par management, use of handheld technologies, and patient charging.
• Communicates professionally with customers and support personnel via telephone or in person.
• Replenishes surgical case carts as assigned.
• Cleans and decontaminates patient rental equipment according to policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
