  • Experience with Non-conformance and failure analysis disposition
  • Materials or process related experience and/or field of study
  • Formal coursework, training, experience and/or knowledge in Materials or Processes for development, improvement, design, application and production
  • Eligibility/willingness to obtain/maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required

As a Materials and Processes Engineer

  • Select Materials, and Processes (M & P) on new designs, get hands-on manufacturing experience, and/or provide oversight to an extensive supply chain providing products critical to Mission Success
  • Perform Materials and Processes (M&P) technical engineering assignments
  • Troubleshoot problems and find innovative solutions
  • Participate in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of materials & processes; prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks; prepare specifications; and evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports
  • Cook with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement

  • A self-starter who develops solutions to technical issues
  • A motivated individual who's able to work closely within a geographically diverse team to resolve technical issues
  • Able to handle shifting priorities, multiple projects and timeline pressure to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable with communicating in a variety of forums

Desired Skills

  • Experience with general aerospace materials and processes
  • Experience with technical requirements, including material and process specifications, program requirements, plans, and other relevant documentation
  • Understanding of material properties definitions
  • Bachelor's Degree in Material Science & Engineering, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
