Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Trains and relieves machine operators as needed
- Fills in for the Lead during their absence, including performing color changes, quality checks, and become familiar with mold changeovers
- Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
- Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators
- Dumps by hand materials such as colors or plastic, into machine hoppers or move product by hand onto scrap pallets
- Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products
- Reads spreadsheets to determine specific material requirements at changeovers
- Performs necessary maintenance and repair on some equipment used
- Responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment
- Pulls raw materials and finished product from various locations for manufacturing orders

Physical Demands
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- Occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
