Material Support Technician (MXSG)-Days

About the role

The Material Support Technician performs inventory management, material coordination, and cataloguing at the Hill Air Force Base, UT.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing decentralized and decontrolled items (supplies, equipment).
• Assists in inventory requirements determination and forecasting, distribution of materials, procurement authorizations, etc.
• Performs material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.
• Processes and expedites supply transactions related to particular organizations serviced.
• Writes item descriptions, using requirements for a range of new items entering the supply channels.
• Reviews existing stock catalogs, manufacturers catalogs, drawings, or other resource materials, for the purpose of matching characteristics or part numbers to identify duplicate items.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have a Secret Clearance and able to maintain.
• Knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, etc.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good computer skills.
• Working conditions: mostly a well-lit shop environment.
• Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 lbs., sit or stand for long periods, and perform bending, twisting, and lifting.

Pay

$34.16 hourly
