Material Services- Welding Forklift Operator, 1st Shift & 2nd Shift

About the role

Jefferson Southern Corporation is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team. This position operates forklifts to support production and ensure efficient movement of materials.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols while operating the forklift
• Deliver parts and containers to weld cells in a timely manner
• Scan in all material to the proper storage location
• Remove old shipping tags from empty containers before setting them up in well cells
• Notify team ladders and coordinators when low on stamping or child parts
• Ensure damaged containers are not set up in weld cells and take them to the rack repair area
• Keep banks of parts and completed assemblies in neat order
• Ensure weld cells are kept neat and orderly and remove unused stamping
• Support production and eliminate downtime on all weld cells
• Support production using both stand-up and sit-down forklifts
• Absorb all safety policies and report accidents as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Forklift Certification Required
• Prior knowledge of material handling in a manufacturing environment is preferred
