Material Program Manager

Location: US-MS-FOREST-430, 19859 Hwy 80, BLDG 430

Position is onsite. U.S. citizenship is required; the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued DoD Secret security clearance is required. An active and existing security clearance is required from day one.

Responsibilities

• Advise the Supply Chain Management Lead and Program Management Office on material strategies, plans, and supplier risk mitigation activities.
• Support the development, coordination, and execution of program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise goals.
• Engage in early supplier involvement focused on strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Support Supply Chain proposal activities, including task descriptions and basis of estimates to meet price-to-win targets.
• Develop and execute material program plans (MPP).
• Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programs.
• Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
• Monitor performance metrics and proactively address program and functional issues alongside procurement and program functions.
• Influence overall program objectives and long-range goals of the program and Integrated Product Team (IPT).
• Lead discussions and presentations for all levels of management and senior leadership.
• Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs.
• Domestic travel as required.
• Responsible for Material inputs and analysis for Estimates at Complete.

Requirements

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Experience with SAP and/or related material planning tools.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Supply Chain role and/or program/project management position.
• Experience working with suppliers in program/project management or evaluating/tracking/managing supplier partnerships or performance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
• Experience with government regulations (e.g., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA).
• Experience with Design to Cost and Cost Reduction Initiative activities.
• Experience with proposals.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD – 204,500 USD. The range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
