About the role
Azuria Water Solutions is seeking a Material Planner to join our Supply Chain Team. This role supports 8 manufacturing sites, focusing on forecasting, planning, and purchasing chemicals, resin, stock tube, and other materials essential for production. The Material Planner will collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Finance teams, requiring approximately 20% domestic travel. Onsite office work is required at one of the following locations: Tampa, FL; Chesterfield, MO; Cedar City, UT; Indianapolis, IN; Tappan, NY; Royalton, VT; Ocala, FL; or Bessemer, AL.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to create purchase orders and manage material stocking levels (PFEP – Plan for Every Part), accounting for economic and supply chain risks to maximize days inventory on-hand and reduce obsolescence.
- Participate in daily production meetings (SIOP) and other production-related rhythms, reporting on days on hand, in-transit materials, and open purchase orders.
- Redeploy assets as needed to meet production requirements.
- Manage open purchase orders by expediting or deferring delivery dates to align with plant needs while maintaining inventory within storage capacity.
- Participate in Manufacturing Operating Meetings and SIOP Meetings to communicate urgent requirements and demand forecasts.
- Escalate and resolve issues through cross-functional collaboration.
- Monitor supplier performance on deliveries and contractual KPIs, working with Procurement to improve performance.
- Track price changes and update purchase orders to ensure compliance with contracts and pricing agreements.
- Partner with the Procurement team to align ordering with price changes, contractual agreements, rebate tracking, and production requirements.
- Oversee monthly Cycle Count completions for all plants to ensure compliance and accuracy in transactions and reporting, including variance reviews for root cause analysis.
- Identify process improvement areas and digitization efforts (e.g., PowerBI).
- Work cross-functionally with Procurement and Finance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Create work instructions and SOPs for processes and material transactions, driving standardization.
- Own all Wet Out inventory, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of material transactions to support plant operations and ensure accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, finance, or supply chain.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, planning, or inventory management.
- Broad understanding of Supply Chain concepts, including demand planning, buying, inventory management, and SIOP.
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently analyze large datasets using various systems and data analytics tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP, Oracle).
- Ability to travel domestically ~20% of the time.
Desired Skills
- Procurement certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPSM).
- Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of big data and Power BI for digitizing KPIs.
- Business acumen to translate results to the balance sheet.
- Experience in infrastructure construction, manufacturing, and/or subcontracting.

Pay
Salary range: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00.
