About the role
The Material Planner will be part of the Tools & Outdoor North America Supply Chain team, working onsite in Shelby, OH. They will be responsible for the procurement of component and turnkey outdoor power equipment parts, interact with ERP and demand planning systems, manage supplier relationships, assist in managing obsolete/excess inventory, ensure SKU integrity, act as a liaison, participate in new product development, and manage at-risk items.
Responsibilities
- Procure component and turnkey outdoor power equipment parts to support distribution and production departments.
- Analyze component item requirements and make procurement decisions using Infor XA MRP and service life-cycle management software.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve performance issues such as quality, delivery, and compliance.
- Manage obsolete/excess inventory and assist in managing new product development processes.
- Ensure the integrity of SKU record data and act as a liaison between different groups.
- Participate in Sales and Operations Planning to address at-risk items.
- Engage in various material flow projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in purchasing/material procurement, or relevant experience.
- CPIM certification preferred.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ERP System, WMS system, and Demand Planning System.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Teamwork and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

Pay
$33,400.00 - $53,700.00 annually.
