Primary Responsibilities
- Works with Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements to include using a credit card for micro purchases.
- Works with programs in generating material requirements and providing the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish.
- Works across multiple government and Leidos systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintains reports and monitors material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
- Captures forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership.
- Provides advice to programs as to proper routes to acquire materials that will be to the greatest benefit of the program.
- Analyzes material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, acquisition planning.
- Engages supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.
- Manages production and delivery schedules.
Basic Qualifications
- Typically requires a BA degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Candidates with experience in procurement AND/OR a combination of certifications, training, education, or military experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required to be considered.
- Microsoft Office knowledge and skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work across multiple systems simultaneously.
- Attention to detail.
- Good organization and communication skills.
- Basic Excel experience (Create workbooks, create formulas, applying formats, sort, and filter data, etc…).
- Prior inventory control experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate processes and procedures to customer base.
- Possess outstanding customer service skills in order to meet high demand requirements.
- Ability to travel between local sites on occasion to coordinate activities.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and apply that understanding to daily procurement and program support requirements.
- Self-starter that can establish priorities, resolve immediate issues, and coordinate with program manager on complex problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members and customer.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to compose and deliver responses to customers’ questions in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role executing on time deliveries of hardware and software; interacting with key suppliers; dealing with the financial impacts of supplier decisions on programs; and managing, tracking, and auditing existing hardware and software inventories.
- Experience supporting procurement system compliance, materials management, prime contract flow downs, supplier quality, and supplier teaming to achieve successful results.
- Experience working with price analysis methodologies.
- Experience working with Commercial Supplier Agreements (CSAs) and End User License Agreements (EULAs).
- Experience with IBM Maximo or Deltek.
