We are looking for a Material Handling Specialist to join our growing team in Shoreview! The Material Handling Specialist is responsible for the accurate movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the facility. This role also provides cross-functional support to panel build operations, assisting with assembly, staging, and basic electrical/mechanical tasks as needed to meet production demands. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and adaptable to both logistics and light production work. Key Responsibilities Material Handling & Inventory Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slipsAccurately store materials in designated warehouse locationsPick, stage, and deliver materials to production areas based on work orders or schedulesMaintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and system updatesOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safelyMaintain clean, organized, and efficient storage areas (5S standards) Panel Build & Production Support Assist panel builders with component staging, kitting, and preparationSupport mechanical assembly of panels, enclosures, or subassembliesAssist with mounting components such as DIN rail, terminal blocks, wireways, and devicesPerform basic wiring tasks under supervision (e.g., labeling, routing, terminations where qualified)Read and follow basic schematics, layouts, and work instructionsHelp with quality checks, ensuring builds meet company standards Operational Support Coordinate material flow between warehouse and production to avoid shortages or delaysIdentify and escalate material discrepancies or quality concernsSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory flow and efficiencyCollaborate with purchasing, engineering, and production teams as needed Required Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalentExperience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environmentAbility to safely operate material handling equipment (or willingness to be trained)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to read work orders, pick lists, and basic documentationBasic computer skills (ERP or inventory systems preferred)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods Preferred Experience in electrical panel building or industrial assemblyFamiliarity with electrical components and toolsAbility to read electrical schematics or layout drawingsForklift certificationExperience with lean manufacturing or 5S principles Key Competencies Adaptability and willingness to support multiple functionsStrong teamwork and communication skillsProblem-solving mindsetCommitment to safety and qualityTime management and ability to prioritize tasks Work Environment Manufacturing and warehouse environmentUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Pay: $20-26/hr, depending on experience
