Material Handling Laborer
The Material Handling Laborer (MHL) position at KBR requires performing various physical tasks vital to the success of aircraft Test & Evaluation (T&E) operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Material Handling and Transport: Assist with the movement, transport, and storage of materials and test equipment.
- Receiving, Inventory, and Storage: Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensure items are correctly accounted for and in proper condition, and store materials and equipment in designated areas.
- Facility Maintenance and Equipment Care: Perform routine facility upkeep, including cleaning and organizing workspaces, and assist in the maintenance and upkeep of test equipment and materials.
- General Support to T&E Operations: Provide logistical and physical support to the T&E team, including assisting with the setup, breakdown, and organization of test equipment, and ensuring timely and accurate transport and availability of materials for testing.
Qualifications include:
- Citizenship: U.S. citizen.
- Security Clearance: Current or active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- No prior experience required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform manual labor tasks in various environmental conditions.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience supporting NAS Patuxent River, MD.
- Willingness to grow within role and program.
- Associate's Degree.
The pay rate is $17.37/hr, and additional compensation may include a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
