Greencastle, PA – This new innovative facility will provide additional distribution capacity for finished goods on the East Coast and help build a seamless supply chain to improve our customer experience.
About the role
As a warehouse colleague, you will help deliver various types of research and laboratory products for universities, hospitals, and doctors' offices. You will be on the front lines of helping science make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements
- Sustain a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate product and in the time requested
- Verify the quality, type, and number of materials received are accurate and appropriate documentation is present (e.g., packing list)
- Safely operate distribution equipment, as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No previous work experience required
- Preferred: Experience in distribution, warehouse, or supply chain or related field
- Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)
- Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Standards
- Ability to work in environmental conditions including:
- Cold Room/Freezers (-22°F / -6°C)
- Fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold)
- Loud noises (equipment/machinery)
- Warehouse environment under various temperatures (room temperature: 59–86°F, cold-room: 36–46°F, freezer-room: -4 to -23°F)
- Some degree of PPE (Personal Prote Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
- Physical demands:
- Walk, stand, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40 lbs. on a continuous basis
- Regularly climb ladders
- May occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- May handle “packaged” hazardous materials
Skills
- Attention to detail
- Desire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quickly
- Ability to read and write in English
Schedule
- First Shift: Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Second Shift: Monday - Friday (10:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
Pay
- Starting at $20.95/hour
- 10% shift differential for second shift
- Annual performance-based bonus
