Material Handler Warehouse First Shift

Ryder is hiring Temporary to Permanent Warehouse Material Handlers in Kent, Washington. This role offers weekly pay and a career path you can feel good about.

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $20.50 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $30.75 per hour when working overtime

Schedule

• Monday - Saturday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm or until work is finished
• 5-day work week; off on Sundays and 1 other day (Monday-Friday, TBD)
• Overtime as business needs require

• Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment
• Products handled: boxed furniture and exercise equipment
• Equipment used: Cherry Picker/Order picker, walkie rider pallet jack, RF scanner
• Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles support distribution across the US

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Team player able to work within a diverse environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels
• Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with good attendance record
• Works independently with minimal supervision and demonstrates high initiative
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Must work using health and safety methods
• Available for flexible scheduling and various work shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
