Material Handler Warehouse Cherry Picker Hiring Immediately

About the role

Ryder is hiring Material Handlers in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania for warehouse forklift operator/driver positions. Employees work in clean, organized facilities using equipment such as cherry pickers, order pickers, pallet jacks, and forklifts to support a safe supply‑chain environment.

Pay

Weekly hourly pay of $21.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for third‑shift work.

Schedule

Third Shift: Sunday‑Tuesday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am, Wednesday 6:00 pm – 12:00 am.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core‑shift production.
• Perform duties within performance‑measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator’s license (certified).
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lb and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and various shifts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
• Dependable, punctual with good attendance record.
• Detail‑oriented with high accuracy under pressure.
• Must meet additional screening requirements (employment/education verification, motor vehicle record check, road test, background/badging as required by customer).
