Material Handler Specialist, 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

  • Safety: Prioritize safety by following all protocols, using PPE, and conducting equipment inspections. Safely operate equipment during the offloading of trucks, receiving of raw materials, and handling of finished products. Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or property damage immediately.
  • Material Handling & Inventory Management: Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment. Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders, stage materials for production, and accurately record receipts in SAP. Manage material flow to production areas, ensuring accurate stock locations and continuous availability. Maintain in-process inventory by delivering materials to workstations. Assist with inventories, stock locations, and the final distribution of finished products. Process and document inventory movements using SAP, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
  • Shipping & Logistics: Receive, verify, and process shipments of finished products, ensuring accurate documentation. Use logistic software to record shipments, generate shipping documentation, and schedule transportation.
  • Quality Assurance: Act as the final quality assurance inspector for finished packaged products, ensuring they meet customer requirements. Follow SOPs to ensure product quality and meet productivity targets. Prepare finished products for shipment, including packing, crating, and loading.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct pre-use inspections and perform minor repairs on material handling equipment. Maintain certification for operating various forklifts and other material handling tools. Operates basic material-handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, reach truck, order pickers, VNA) after receiving proper training.
  • Collaboration and Organization: Work closely with inventory and purchasing teams to monitor supply levels and ensure accuracy. Communicates effectively with team members and supports their efforts; participates in regular training and safety meetings. Cross-train in all material handling and logistics functions and support continuous improvement efforts, such as 5S and process documentation. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High-School Diploma - Required
  • 0-2 Years Warehouse Experience – Required
  • 0-2 Years SAP Experience - Preferred
  • Forklift certification – Preferred
  • Proficiency in logistic software and the ability to generate accurate shipping documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and meet tight shipping deadlines.

Pay

The pay range posted for this position is $19.94 - $27.50 based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible, then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
