Material Handler (SEASONAL)

This is a seasonal position.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders, and transporting material.
• Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
• Maintain the condition of the warehouse work area (e.g., free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors).
• Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other employees to complete required workload.
• Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality, and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy, and track and trace issues.
• Read and understand tickets and the various codes for products.
• Read a tape measure and accurately pull daily orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired.
• Engineered lumber experience preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Basic math and analytical skills.

Pay

$20.50/hour, based on experience.
