Material Handler -- SBC Pack/Blend Tech

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• SBC Packing Operations:
• - Perform SBC packing operations in accordance with established procedures and production requirements.
• - Efficiently produce filled SBC product in accordance with visual standards.
• - Perform Flushout/Grade Changes in accordance with production requirements.
• - Maintain an organized work area.

• Reblend Operations:
• - Perform blending duties for Dry Blend and Wet Blend operations following all area SJP.
• - Follow blend back campaigns as communicated from Supervisor.
• - Prepare emptied bags and discard consumed raw materials during blending.
• - Maintain an organized work area.

• Bulk Operations:
• - Perform support duties and tasks for Chemours Bulk Operations.

• Quality & Compliance:
• - Inspect all SBC bags prior to hanging for defects and contamination.
• - Maintain accurate and legible documentation following area SJP.
• - Ensure accurate application of all labeling and barcodes on bags during filling process.
• - Follow area SJP for SBC Packing and ensure compliance with all visual standards for tray appearance guidelines.
• - Report on all quality variances.

• Equipment Inspections:
• - Inspect all process equipment prior to operation.
• - Inspect blending equipment and product screens prior to blending.
• - Ensure metal detector operation. (Record LPN)
• - Inspect fill tube hoses
• - Inspect scale for product underneath (could affect weight accuracy)
• - Proper documentation and reporting of any issues found during inspections.

• Inventory & Sampling:
• - Complete SBC sampling to ensure product quality following sample schedule recipe.
• - Ensure accurate labeling of all SBC product samples.
• - Assist in physical inventories for raw materials. Ensure proper stock rotation for all raw materials.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Computer Skills:
• - Basic computer skills
• - RF Scanners
• - WMS functions

• Language Skills:
• - English (reading, writing, verbal)

• Mathematical Skills:
• - Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, packaging, and distributing client products.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience:
• - Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• - 6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/manufacturing/relevant environment.

• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations:
• - Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program(where applicable).

• Strong attention to detail accuracy and accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
• Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to cold, warm, hot, humid weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moderate dust or airborne particles. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
• The employee also regularly lifts and/or moves objects up to 55 pounds.
