About the role

Material Handlers at PMI Pipe, Steel & Supplies participate in warehouse operations and activities. Responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing, and loading orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, and ship)
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, and store)
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Complete logs for inventory, vehicles, or deliveries as required
• Report any discrepancies
• Multi-task effectively
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment preventively
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a material worker
• Forklift experience
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to squat, twist, reach, and stand/walk for an entire workday
• Ability to work in Texas weather (heat, cold, dust, rain)
• Able to work some Saturdays
• Ability to use a measuring tape
• High school diploma
• Ability to read, write, and speak English or Spanish
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Other duties as assigned

• Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
• Rotating Saturdays, 8 AM – 12 PM
