Material Handler -(Rotating) 2nd shift

2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 pm–2:00 am. Mandatory overtime on Fridays and Saturdays depending on business need. Hourly rate plus 10% shift differential.

About the role

Perform various duties including assisting operators in keeping material available for production, handling raw and painted material at different stations, and working with forklift drivers to supply materials to machines.

Responsibilities

• Work from supervisor’s written and verbal instructions
• Handle raw material and transport it to different work areas to start the production process
• Operate material-moving equipment such as hand trucks and carts when necessary
• Measure and visually inspect items being produced in various areas
• Detect and report material defects, equipment malfunctions, unusual situations, or other problems to the supervisor
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and practices
• Work in different areas of the production floor
• Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed

Requirements

• Able to successfully complete a banding trial
• Able to read a tape measure
• Able to successfully complete a basic math test
• Good attendance record
