Material Handler - Part Time (Warehouse like)

About the role

Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and Unit Load Devices (ULDs). Serves as liaison between the company and ULD repair vendor as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the buildup and breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level.
• Able to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Able to walk, stand, bend, and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level and in enclosed spaces, including stacking packages above one’s head if required.
• Able to work in all weather conditions if required at the work location.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at the work location.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy operations environment.
• Must successfully complete all basic and re-currency training.
• Must possess a valid driver's license (operating motorized conveyances is required).
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position; a drug screen is required.
• Must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Pay

$19.68/hr - $27.21/hr (actual pay determined by experience, tenure, market level, and other job-related factors).

Schedule

Part-time: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
