Material Handler Level 2
About the role
We are looking for a Material Handler Level 2 to join our Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit team in Knightdale, NC. This role focuses on the efficient movement of materials, including receiving, shipping, storage, picking, delivery, and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate stand-up reach trucks, stand-up order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic areas and narrow aisles; inspect equipment daily.
- Unload, receive, count, and verify incoming production materials, recording data in SAP.
- Pick materials for internal and external customers using RF scanners with count accuracy.
- Perform daily cycle counts and efficiently pack and ship materials damage-free.
- Adhere to safety rules, follow established processes, and seek improvement opportunities.
- Maintain strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
- Work as a great teammate and complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience in material management (warehousing).
- 4+ years’ experience driving a forklift, order picker, and stand-up.
- 2+ years of experience with packing and crating.
- Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with SAP system.
- Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with RF Scanners.
- Experience with cranes.
- Ability to train others on department processes.
- Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Pay
Hourly Rate: $20.36
Schedule
Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm
