Material Handler IV (Fork Truck) - Spencer, MA ( Mon to Fri 8:30am to 5pm)

About the role

Flexcon is a purpose-driven innovative company manufacturing coated and laminated films and adhesives. We supply products for various industries including packaging, medical devices, automotive, durable labeling, and more. We are currently hiring Material Handlers for our Spencer, MA plant.

Responsibilities

• Operates Forklifts and reach trucks
• Maintains a forklift license
• Completes work orders from systems or following verbal and written instructions
• Checks schedule and machines for list of materials needed
• Transports requested materials to appropriate departments for production use or shipping/receiving
• Sorts materials for optimal use of warehouse space
• Maintains daily inventory records
• Reports any damage of orders to supervisor
• Performs simple maintenance on forklift tractor; checks battery, radiator, and oil fluids
• Maintains equipment, cleans machine, and work area

Requirements

• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn ERP system
• Able to read and write written work instructions, have basic math skills, and read a ruler to measure fractions of an inch
• Prior forklift experience a plus but will train
• Committed to a high standard of safety and willing to comply with all environment and safety regulations, including the Company’s environmental and safety policies and procedures
• Willing to report potential environmental and safety improvements to appropriate supervisory and/or management personnel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
