About the role
Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Stuart, FL. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career with state-of-the-art equipment.
Responsibilities
- Aid in supporting key performance indicators (KPIs) in safety, quality, sanitation, and maintenance.
- Create and maintain daily dock schedules.
- Communicate with carriers regarding setting appointments and updating load statuses.
- Work closely with the operations supervisor to distribute the workload evenly through WMS management.
- Collaborate with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve issues with day's orders.
- Interact with customers to communicate order changes and updates.
- Maintain various Excel spreadsheets and reports.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of warehouse experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).
- Working knowledge of WMS systems.
- Forklift experience.
- Equipment certification may be required, depending on location.
- A valid driver's license and ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications.
Qualifications
- Strong technical aptitude including using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Scanners and ability to enter orders into a WMS system.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Ability to work both indoors and outside.
Skills
- Good driving record.
- Customer service skills.
