Material Handler Inventory Control - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving functions, part put-away functions, order filling, production support, and shipping functions.
• Use lift trucks to move materials and completed parts to proper locations.
• Work safely on lift trucks in high-traffic areas.
• Place and remove loads from the floor, parts trains, and rack locations.
• Conduct daily pre-operational safety checks on lift trucks.
• Use various computer programs and perform basic data entry and periodic lookup of information.
• Perform cycle counts and item counts as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to multitask and work in a team environment.
• Possess reading, basic math, memory, reasoning, analytical, organizational skills, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion and lift items up to 40 lbs.
• Operate sit-down (FC, C5, SC, RM, TSP) and stand-up (RC, SP, TR, PR, PW) lift trucks, parts train cars, and picking carts.
• Ability to stay stationary or traverse up to 8-10 hours per shift.
• Frequently balance, push/pull, bend, kneel, and squat.
• Occasionally reach above shoulder level and frequently lift and carry from 0 to 40 lbs.
• Frequent climbing to step into lift trucks.
• Must have good hearing, vision, binocular vision, and color distinction.
• Ability to use feet to operate foot pedals and perform simple but firm grasping with both hands.
• Work at heights up to 30 ft.
• Communicate verbally and in written form with others.
• Work in a moderately noisy environment with exposure to vibration, weld flash, dust, solvents, grease, oil, and battery acid.
• Safely operate lift trucks and work in areas with lift truck traffic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience is preferred.

Pay

Pay rates between $25.02/hour and over $29/hour, plus an additional $1.50/hour for working 2nd or 3rd shift.
